DURHAM, N.C. – Following Saturday's 27-10 victory at Syracuse, Duke was rewarded by moving up in both national college football polls released Sunday. The Associated Press and Amway Coaches polls have the Blue Devils ranked No. 19. It is a three-spot jump in the AP poll and a one-slot move up in the Coaches poll.
The Associated Press national ranking is Duke's highest since standing 19th before the Nov. 12, 1994, contest against N.C. State. Duke has been ranked in the AP poll the last three weeks and has been in four editions of this year's Coaches poll.
Duke was No. 22 in the second College Football Playoff rankings released last Tuesday. An updated slate will be released Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. on ESPN.
The Blue Devils have three regular season games remaining, all at home. Duke kicks off the home stand with a 12 noon contest on ESPNU versus Virginia Tech this Saturday. Tickets are available at GoDuke.com/Tickets or calling the ticket office at 877-375-DUKE.
