Setting the Scene...
The 16th-ranked Duke women's basketball team (19-9, 10-5 ACC) will close the regular season Sunday, March 1 as the Blue Devils will host 15th-ranked North Carolina (23-6, 10-5) in Cameron Indoor Stadium at 3:00 p.m.
The contest will be aired on ESPN2 with Pam Ward (PBP) and Carolyn Peck (Color). It will also be carried live on the Blue Devil IMG Sports Network on WDNC 620 AM, 99.3 FM, 96.5 FM and www.GoDuke.com with Steve Barnes (PXP) and Morgan Patrick (Color) on the air.
It will mark senior day on Sunday as the Blue Devils will recognize Elizabeth Williams, Amber Henson, Ka'lia Johnson and Jenna Frush at about 2:45 p.m.
What is Next?...
Duke will head to Greensboro, N.C., for the ACC Tournament March 4-8 at the Greensboro Coliseum.
With a victory Sunday against North Carolina, Duke will be the No. 4 seed and will play Friday, March 6 at 11 a.m. With a loss against UNC, the Blue Devils will be the No. 6 seed and will play at 8 p.m., Thursday, March 5.
Storylines/Other Blue Devil Notes...
• Two of the top three-point field goal percentage defense teams in the ACC will hit the hardwood Sunday -- UNC (1st, 28.3%), Duke (3rd, 28.6%).
• Elizabeth Williams needs 128 points to reach 2,000 in her career.
• Azurá Stevens totaled three straight games with double-doubles and owns seven on her rookie campaign, which ranks tied third on the Duke freshman list. She is just the second Blue Devil freshman to notch three straight double-doubles (Chris Moreland, 1984-85).
• In the three-game losing streak, Duke has averaged only 57.0 points, hit 35.9 percent from the field and dished an average of 9.7 assists. The Blue Devils have hit only 6-of-48 three-pointers (12.5%) and 58.7 percent of their free throws.
• Azurá Stevens' 8.2 rebounds per game ranks as the eighth-highest average among freshmen nationally. Her 98 offensive rebounds ranks tied fifth nationally overall.
• Senior Amber Henson has struggled from the field as of late hitting only 6-of-28 field goals and missed nine straight three-pointers.
• Duke has totaled a 5-8 record on the road this season, marking the first time since the 1996-97 season the Blue Devils had a losing record in away games. The last time Duke lost back-to-back games versus unranked opponents was in 1997-98.
• Ka'lia Johnson (10) and Elizabeth Williams (9) lead Duke in charges taken this season. Williams owns 28 over her career.
• Duke's nine losses on the season is the second-most under Coach P since arriving in Durham in 2007-08. The Blue Devils lost 10 in her first season (25-10).
• Elizabeth Williams now leads all centers nationally with a 2.5 assists per game average. She averaged 1.6 assists as a freshman, 1.3 as a sophomore and 2.2 as a junior.
• The final Coach P Radio show date will be Monday, March 2 at 6:00 p.m., at NOSH.
• Duke is the only team in the ACC that featured four straight road games during league play.
• Duke has a very challenging slate in 2014-15 and it currently ranks No. 5 nationally in strength of schedule -- Tennessee (1), Kentucky (2), Vanderbilt (3), Notre Dame (4), Duke (5).
• The Blue Devils have reached 10 league victories for the 18th straight season. The streak is the longest in the ACC with the next closest being UNC (2).
• Duke has had five different post players miss at least one game this season -- Azurá Stevens, Elizabeth Williams, Oderah Chidom and Lyneé Belton.
• Duke is averaging 18.2 turnovers a game, which is the most for a Blue Devil squad since the 1990-91 campaign (19.4).
• The Blue Devils have allowed an ACC-most 122 treys in league games only.
• Duke has allowed an ACC-most 713 three-point field goals attempted, but ranks third in the league with a 28.6 opponent percentage from downtown. The next closest ACC team in terms of opponents treys attempted is Boston College (594).
• Boston College (204), Duke (204), and Georgia Tech (199) have allowed the most treys in the ACC.
• Opponents have hit 116 three-pointers in the last 14 games (8.3 per game), including a team-high 13 by Boston College and Syracuse.
• Duke has averaged 55.6 points in the nine losses this season, while hitting 34.4 percent of its field goals.
• With the loss of Oderah Chidom, Duke is down to nine scholarship players, which includes walk-on turned scholarship player Jenna Frush.
• The Blue Devils rank second nationally in rebounding margin (13.5). Duke is also averaging 30.2 defensive rebounds a game, which ranks No. 8.
• The Blue Devils currently rank first in the ACC and sixth nationally with a 34.1 field goal percentage defense.
• Senior Ka'lia Johnson ranks No. 4 in the ACC with a 4.0 assist per game average. She has dished 111 assists this season and had 39 assists her first three years combined.
• Duke lost four games prior to January for the first time since the 1998-99 campaign, when the Blue Devils advanced to the NCAA Final Four for the first time in school history.
• Senior Elizabeth Williams ranks tied first in the ACC and No. 16 nationally with a 2.9 blocks per game average.
• Duke lost three straight games prior to January for the first time since the 2007-08 campaign, which was Coach P's first year at Duke. It snapped a 242 consecutive game streak without losing back-to-back games. During the stretch, Duke lost by a combined nine points and played without senior Elizabeth Williams in two of the games.
• Joanne P. McCallie entered the 2014-15 campaign with a 73.2 winning percentage, which ranks 19th overall on the NCAA Division I coaching charts.
• The Blue Devils have five players and three staff associated with the team who have won USA Basketball medals - Oderah Chidom, Rebecca Greenwell, Amber Henson, Kendall Cooper, Elizabeth Williams, head coach Joanne P. McCallie, athletic trainer Summer McKeehan and team doctor Jeff Bytomski.

The Series with North Carolina...
North Carolina holds the lead in the series with a 49-41 mark, but the Blue Devils notched an overtime win earlier this season in Chapel Hill. Duke is 22-15 against North Carolina in Durham, including winners of five out of the last six.
Duke has won nine of its last 11 games against North Carolina. Coach P owns an 11-10 overall record versus the Tar Heels.
A Look at North Carolina...
North Carolina enters Sunday with a 23-6 overall and 10-5 league mark, including winners of five out of the last six games.
On the year, the Tar Heels have been led by Allisha Gray (15.9 points, 7.9 rebounds), Stephanie Mavunga (14.1 points, 8.9 rebounds), Brittany Rountree (7.3 points, 42 treys) and Jessica Washington (6.8 points, 35 treys).
UNC has totaled a 7-3 record on the road.
Duke Players Versus North Carolina...
Over her career, Elizabeth Williams has seen action against North Carolina nine times and has averaged 17.9 points, 8.8 rebounds, 3.8 blocks and 2.2 assists. She is coming off totaling a career-high 33 points, 10 rebounds, four blocks and three assists in Chapel Hill. Williams has scored 20+ points in three contests against UNC.
Over the last three games against UNC, Ka'lia Johnson has averaged 11.0 points and 3.0 assists.
In her first game against North Carolina, Rebecca Greenwell totaled 14 points and a career-high 14 rebounds.
USA Basketball Teammates...
Duke redshirt freshman Rebecca Greenwell played USA Basketball with two North Carolina student-athletes -- Stephanie Mavunga and Jessica Washington.
Greenwell and Mavunga competed on the 2011 USA Basketball U16 National Team in Merida, Mexico. The squad posted a 5-0 record and won the gold medal.
In 2012, Greenwell and Washington played for the USA Basketball U17 World Championship team that produced an 8-0 record and the gold medal in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Blue Devils at Home...
Duke has collected a 14-1 record at home this season, including winners of 11 in a row.
Rebecca Greenwell (14.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 33 treys), Azurá Stevens (13.6 points, 9.0 rebounds) and Elizabeth Williams (13.5 points, 8.7 rebounds) have led Duke at home this season.
The Blue Devils have hit 47.8 percent of their field goals and 36.5 percent from downtown at home compared to 39.8 percent from the field and 26.7 percent from three-point land on the road.

Duke Nears 20 Wins...
With a victory against Georgia Tech Thursday, Duke would register its 18th consecutive 20-win season and the 20th out of the last 21 years. Head Coach Joanne P. McCallie would total her 20th different 20-win season over her 23-year coaching career and 11th straight.
Looking at the national scene, Tennessee owns a 39-year streak of reaching 20 wins, while Connecticut is second (22) and Duke's 17 straight years is third.
The ACC record for most consecutive 20-win seasons is 17 by Duke.
Against Ranked Opponents...
Duke has totaled a 4-6 record this season against ranked opponents, but have won three out of the last five contests. At home, the Blue Devils are 3-1.
Elizabeth Williams (14.3 points, 7.9 rebounds), Azurá Stevens (13.6 points, 7.5 rebounds) and Rebecca Greenwell (13.1 points, 5.7 rebounds) have paced Duke in those contests.

Duke's duo of Rebecca Greenwell and Azurá Stevens rank as the third-highest freshman scoring duo in the nation, but the top among ACC teams.
