CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Duke swimmers continued to rewrite Duke's all-time top-10 charts Sunday on the final day of the inaugural Carolina College Invitational, held at North Carolina's Koury Natatorium.
Freshman Hanna House collected her second individual win in as many days in Chapel Hill, completing a sweep of the women's backstroke events with a win in the 200-yard final. Her 1:59.72 clocking Sunday afternoon was good for the sixth-fastest in program history. Fellow rookie Josh Furth was fourth in the same event on the men's side, notching a season-best time of 1:50.98.
Sophomore Mike Seaberg earned a personal record in the 200 breaststroke final, touching at 2:03.21 for second place. Freshman Parker Pearson wrapped up the day by taking second in the mile with a 15:52.80 showing, ranking him ninth on the Blue Devils' all-time top-10 chart.
Up next for the program, the women's team travels to the 2015 ACC Championship Feb. 18-21 in Atlanta at Georgia Tech's Aquatic Center. The men will compete there the following week, Feb. 25-28.
