DURHAM, N.C. -- After being named National Freshman of the Year in 2012,
Cassie Pecht has had a tough last two years after suffering a knee injury and numerous hours of rehab. Pecht sat down with the Blue Devil Network to talk about her comeback and where she stands as Duke closes its spring season.
Pecht, who is a native of Mechanicsburg, Pa., started 23 games as a freshman and led the nation with 15 assists. She earned TopDrawerSoccer.com Rookie of the Year, Soccer America All-Freshman First Team, ACC Rookie of the Year and All-ACC second team honors. Her 15 assists set a Duke freshman record, while totaling a Blue Devil freshman record 27 points.
