Sikora, Poland Fall in Finals of Balaton Cup

DURHAM, N.C. – After traveling to Hungary this week, Duke University junior Krysia Sikora competed in two matches with the Poland Women's National Team in the Balaton Cup.
The squad competed against Belarus and finished in a draw, 2-2, before advancing with a penalty kick victory. Sikora and the Poland National Team then dropped a 1-0 decision to Slovakia in the finals to conclude the Balaton Cup.
Sikora, who is a product of Los Angeles, Calif., will now head back to Durham where the Blue Devils will open preseason camp Wednesday, Aug. 5. The 5-2 forward/midfielder has seen action in 36 career matches for the Blue Devils over the last two years.
