DURHAM, N.C. – Fourth-ranked Duke opens ACC play at home Friday, welcoming 12th-ranked Wake Forest to Williams Field at Jack Katz Stadium. Non-conference opponent William & Mary visits Durham Sunday. The Blue Devils are coming off of a 2-0 showing against nationally-ranked Big Ten squads at the inaugural B1G/ACC Cup at the home of USA Field Hockey.

The Blue Devils defeated a pair of ranked Big Ten opponents at the inaugural B1G/ACC Cup in Lancaster, Pa. ... Duke's defensive unit shined in the two victories, holding each opponent to just one goal each ... Senior midfielder Aileen Johnson found the back of the cage twice to break scoreless ties in both contests ... Junior Robin Blazing had the gamewinner against No. 10 Northwestern for her first career goal ... Pennsylvania native Morgan Bitting also notched her first career goal on a gamewinner to send Duke past No. 3 Maryland in overtime Sunday ... Two senior Blue Devils swept the ACC Player of the Week awards Tuesday after leading the Blue Devils to the two B1G/ACC Cup wins ... Midfielder Aileen Johnson scored in both contests to earn Offensive Player of the Week accolades while back Amanda Kim was tabbed the Defensive Player of the Week after helping the back line limit its opponents to just two goals on the weekend and remain composed in the one-goal contests.
