WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The 2015 NCAA men's basketball champion Duke Blue Devils were honored by President Barack Obama on Tuesday in a ceremony in the East Room of the White House.
Following opening remarks by the President, Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski addressed the audience and 2015 co-captains Amile Jefferson and Quinn Cook presented Obama with gifts that included a framed Duke jersey with the President's name on the back and a scholarship to K Academy, Duke's annual fantasy basketball camp.
Prior to the midday ceremony, the traveling party took part in a tour of the White House. On Monday, the group was hosted by David Rubenstein, Chairmain of the university's Board of Trustees, for a private dinner at the National Archives.
