DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke women's basketball program is excited to welcome back former Blue Devils for a reunion the weekend of Jan. 23-24, 2016. The event will be highlighted by a recognition of Duke's 2006 team, which reached the NCAA Final Four 10 years ago.
The 2006 squad will be honored during halftime of Duke's Jan. 24 contest against North Carolina in Cameron Indoor Stadium. The 2006 Blue Devils earned the program's fourth Final Four appearance and advanced to the national championship game for the second time in school history. Led by the senior trio of Mistie Bass, Monique Currie and Jessica Foley and head coach
Gail Goestenkors, the squad compiled an overall record of 31-4 and concluded the season ranked fourth in the final Associated Press poll.
Members of the 2006 team who will be in attendance for the Jan. 24 recognition ceremony include Goestenkors, assistant coach
Gale Valley, Alison Bales, Bass, Chante Black, Foley, Carrem Gay,
Keturah Jackson, Brittany Mitch,
