DURHAM, N.C. - Classes are in session and the weather is starting to turn. Across the nation, college basketball players are balancing classes and conditioning with an increased workload on the court.
Summer sessions, and the grueling work that comes with them on the court and in the weight room, are in the rearview mirrior.
Fall is a time for focus.
Episode 10: Grayson Allen
Grayson Allen returned to Duke because that's what he wanted to do. He has a national championship ring. He was an All-American and an Academic All-American last season. Many projected him as a first-round NBA Draft pick last summer.
As Allen has said many times, his heart was at Duke. He has challenged himself in the classroom and will potentially graduate from the university in three years. He has pushed himself on the court, logging countless hours in the gym while balancing his heavy summer course load.
Fearless and dynamic, Allen is the lone major-conference player to return in 2016-17 after averaging at least 20 points and dishing out at least 100 assists a season ago.
Today, we put the Fall Focus on Grayson Allen.
