Football to Collect Canned Food for Hurricane Relief

DURHAM, N.C. – For the second time this football season, flooding has damaged southern sections of the United States and Duke football wants to help those in need. In response to the recent hardships faced in the state of North Carolina due to Hurricane Matthew, the Blue Devils are partnering with Harris Teeter and NC Food Banks for the Big4 Million Meals canned food drive leading up to and at the Duke's home football game against Virginia Tech on November 5.
With every three items donated from the list below, fans may purchase one general admission ticket to the contest versus the Hokies for only $15.
Those wishing to make donations can do so at a variety of locations and times:
- Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. – Donations accepted at the Duke Athletics Ticket Office in Scott Family Athletics Performance Center
- Saturday, November 5, 9:00 a.m. – Kickoff – Donations accepted at the Bojangles Tailgate Show on Tribull Plaza, K-Ville Sign, Coca Cola Fan Zone on Bassett Drive and the Wilson Gate
