Blue Devils Hold Annual True Blue Golf Classic

DURHAM, N.C. - Head coach Joanne P. McCallie and the Duke women's basketball program held its ninth annual True Blue Golf Classic Monday at the Croasdaile Country Club in Durham, N.C. The event featured over 80 golfers, while raising money for Duke women's basketball.
The classic was greeted with excellent weather as the participants teed off at 9:00 a.m. Members of the Duke team as well as staff came out to meet the golfers, take a few pictures, sign autographs and even take a few putts as well. Following the 18 holes of captain's choice golf, all participants gathered at Croasdaile Country Club for a meal and auction.
Awards were given out for the top two teams in each division, closest to the pin and longest drive. Listed below are the winners. Thanks to everyone who participated in this wonderful event.
Men's Division:
1st Place - Jeff Johnston, David Jamieson-Drake, Sam Jamieson-Drake, Walter Sinnot-Armstrong (Gross 52, Net 54)
2nd Place - Mike Price, Jim Pittman, Darrell Hall, Scott McClellan (Gross 53, net 56)
Women's Division:
1st Place - Dokim Elphick, Danielle Harber, Mason Nichols, Rebecca Malouf (Gross 59, Net 61)
2nd Place - Therese St. Peter, Pam Meyer, Pat Carroll, Alice Gould (Gross 65, Net 63)
Co-Ed Division:
1st Place - Elaine Berry, Tracey Hauth, Dana Risley, Scott Humphrey (Gross 55, Net 57)
2nd Place - Larry Hoyt, Ray Gurtner, Clay Thomas, Faye Thomas (Gross 61, Net 61)
