DURHAM, N.C. – For the second straight year, Duke redshirt freshman
Lyneé Belton has seen her season come to an end early as the 6-3 forward had surgery Thursday, Feb. 18. Belton had her left meniscus debridement performed by team physician
Dr. Alison Toth and will have a four to six week recovery.
In the Florida State contest on Feb. 11, Belton suffered the injury. She had competed in 20 games this season, while starting four. Belton was averaging 2.7 points and 3.0 rebounds. A native of Clinton, Md., Belton also suffered a torn ACL of her left knee Dec. 17, 2014 and missed the rest of the 2014-15 campaign.

Haley Gorecki, who has missed the last 13 games of the season with a hip injury, on the sidelines for the remaining of the year. Duke sophomore
Azurá Stevens has missed the last five contests with a left foot injury, but head coach
Joanne P. McCallie is hoping to have her back soon.
Duke will host Georgia Tech Sunday, Feb. 21 at 2 p.m., in what will be senior day for
Mercedes Riggs and
Amber Henson. The contest will be aired live on Blue Devil Network Plus.
