DURHAM, N.C.—Duke University's Jacob Kasper will continue his pursuit of dream of qualifying for the 2016 Olympic Games in Greco-Roman wrestling this weekend at the Pan-American Championships in Frisco, Texas. Kasper, a 2015 NCAA qualifier for the Duke wrestling team, will wrestle at 98 kilograms.
The Pan-American Championships are being held at Dr. Pepper Arena Feb. 26-28. The Pan-American Olympic Games Qualifier will be March 4-6. Kasper will go through medical checks and weigh-ins Feb. 27 and competition gets underway at 11 a.m. (ET) Feb. 28. He will be the sole representative from the United States at 98 kilograms.
Kasper qualified for the 2015 NCAA Championships for Duke at 184 pounds after taking runner-up honors at the ACC Championships his sophomore campaign. A starter in each of his first two seasons, the Lexington, Ohio native finished 2014-15 with a 24-12 overall record and 10-5 mark in duals. He is 39-28 for his career.

Top Two (2) place winners in each weight class will qualify that country's weight for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Only Pan-American nations that have not already qualified for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games may enter a wrestler at that weight.
