
Blue Devils Wrap Up Duke-UNC Individual Tournament

DURHAM, N.C. – Sophomore Ben Silverman and freshman Shrish Dwivedi shared runner-up honors this weekend at the Duke-UNC Individual Tournament, pacing a quartet of Duke men's golfers in the 30-player field. There were no team scores for the event.
Silverman shot the best round in the field on Sunday, firing a two-under 70 to finish the tournament as part of a four-way tie for second place with a total of 147 (+3). Dwivedi was also part of that group after starting the tournament strong with a one-under 71 on Saturday.
Silverman's second-round score was his first under-par round of the season, while Dwivedi's first-round effort was his third round of the year in red numbers.
Juniors Andrew Bieber and Alexander Matlari both finished in a tie for 12th place with totals of 150 (+6). Matlari carded his best round of the season, a two-under 70, during Saturday's first round.
Duke will return to action on Sunday, March 13, when it opens play at the Cape Fear National Intercollegiate in Leland, N.C.
