Perhaps somewhat overshadowed by the heartbreaking 17-16 overtime loss to the Tar Heels Friday night was senior
Myles Jones' 11-point performance. He matched his career-high five goals and added a career-best six assists to tie the Duke single-game record for points. The last time a Duke player registered 11 points was in 2010 when
Ned Crotty and Max Quinzani did so in the same game. The 11 points, the most by an ACC player this season, pushed him atop Duke's scoring charts this season with 51 points and extended his lead as the nation's active leader in career points with 212. Notre Dame's Matt Kavanagh is second at 202 points. His six assists gave him 94 for his career, four more than Jim Gonnella's midfield record of 90. Jones now holds the Duke single-season and career records in points and assists by a Duke midfielder.

Rankings Update
The Blue Devils dropped to No. 12 in the USILA top 20 following the loss to the Tar Heels last Friday. Duke is 13th Inside Lacrosse poll and ninth by Lacrosse Magazine. Duke has regular season games left against the nation's Nos. 2 (Notre Dame), 19 (Marquette) and 20 (Virginia). The ACC Championship also likely will be a game against a top 20 squad or No. 3 Brown. Duke owns wins over No. 10 Syracuse and No. 13 Loyola.
Rowe Scrappin' for Duke
Duke junior faceoff specialist
Kyle Rowe currently leads the nation in ground balls per game at 10.67. He has 96 ground balls in nine games for the Blue Devils and has picked up at least 10 in six of those games. He owns a season-best 15 ground balls against Loyola and has 13 three times. The next closest player to Rowe is Domenic Massimilian of Cornell at 9.43 per game. Rowe's average would rank tied for sixth in NCAA single-season history. The NCAA record is 12.16 by Kevin Massa of Bryant in 2013.
Class on Pace to Set Single Season Record
With 35 goals to his name this season, senior midfielder
Deemer Class is on pace to eclipse the single-season goals record of for a Duke midfielder.
Myles Jones and Robert Rotanz are the lone two midfielders in Duke history to score 40 goals in a season and Class needs just six to pass them. Averaging almost three goals per game, he could do so in the ACC finale at Virginia April 17. His 35 are three fewer than he had in 20 games his sophomore season and one more than he had in 18 outings last season.
Myles Jones is the first player to join ESPN broadcaster and former Fighting Irish defenseman Eamon McAnaney on his weekly podcast. Jones talks about growing into a leadership role, taking the last shot against North Carolina and what he will take away from his time at Duke. It's a great listen.
