EUGENE, Ore. – Redshirt senior Teddi Maslowski took center stage for the Duke track & field program during the third day of the NCAA Outdoor Championships, competing in the first four events of the heptathlon Friday. Maslowski currently ranks 19th with 3,204 points with three events remaining.
Maslowski, competing in the heptathlon at outdoor nationals for the second straight season, kicked off the event with a fast time in the 100-meter hurdles, clocking a time of 13.59 for 1,037 points to tie for 10th overall. The redshirt senior out of Burgettstown, Pa., followed with a clearance of 4-11.50 (1.51m) in the high jump, scoring 632 points, before throwing the shot put 35-8.00 (10.87m) for 587 points. Maslowski closed out the first day of the heptathlon with a 24.34 performance in the 200, the sixth-best time among the field, for 948 points.
The NCAA Outdoor Championships will conclude Saturday, featuring Maslowski in the final three events of the heptathlon and senior Anima Banks in the finals of the women's 800.
