Duke Earns GCAA Team Academic Award

NORMAN, Okla. - The Duke men's golf team was honored with the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Team Academic Award on Wednesday in an announcement by the organization.

To be eligible for the award, a team must achieve a cumulative grade-point average of 3.00 or better for an academic year. Each student-athlete on its official squad list for the academic year counts toward the team GPA.

The Blue Devils had a successful 2015-16 academic year in the classroom, headlined by Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar honors for rising senior Matt Oshrine. Oshrine, along with rising senior Max Greyserman, rising juniors Jake Shuman and Adam Wood, and rising sophomore Alex Smalley, were named to the All-ACC Academic Team in June.
