Leona Maguire finished as the low amateur at the RICOH Women's British Open at the Woburn Golf Club Marquess Course in Woburn, Buckinghamshire, England July 28-31.
Maguire turned in a 72-hole ledger of 284, while the next closest amateur, Bronte Law, coming in at tied 50th with a 290. Ariya Jutanugarn claimed her first major title with a 16-under-par, 272.
Duke's two-time All-America entered the final round tied 10th overall and moved her score to eight-under-par following a birdie on No. 5 Sunday. A native of Cavan, Ireland, Maguire closed the final 13 holes with four bogeys and was held without a birdie.
Maguire will now head to Rio for the 2016 Olympics as she will compete with her home country of Ireland. The action will take place Aug. 17-20 at Reserva de Marapendi Golf Course. Her twin sister, Lisa, will caddy for Leona in the Olympics.
