DURHAM, N.C. -- The start of the 2016 Duke men's cross country season is scheduled to begin Friday, Sept. 2 with the Duke Alumni Meet held in Durham, N.C. The Blue Devil Network caught up with head coach Norm Ogilvie ahead of Friday's contest to discuss the upcoming campaign.
The 2016 Duke squad showcases a mix of experience and youth, as this year's captain, Daniel Moore and Alec Kunzweiler, look to lead a team that includes seven freshmen. The Duke contingent is also comprised of numerous returning contributors in senior Stephen Shine and sophomores Stephen Garrett and Nikhil Pulimood. The Blue Devils are scheduled to travel to three different states for five regular-season meets, while the ACC Championships (Oct. 28) will mark the first of three possible post-season competitions.
Friday's men's race is set for a 6 p.m. start.
