About the Blue Devils
- Duke begins a four-game homestand with No. 21 Wake Forest Friday night. The Demon Deacons are the third straight ranked opponent for the Blue Devils. Duke is 1-1-0 against ranked foes in 2016.
- The Blue Devils are led on offense by junior Brian White and freshman Suniel Veerakone's five points from two goals and an assist. Defenders Carter Manley and Max Moser have two helpers to rank fourth in the ACC. White has both of Duke's game-winning goals this season.
- Graduate student goalkeeper Robert Moewes anchors the defense with a 0.740 goals against average and a .857 save percentage. He is averaging 4.50 saves per game. His saves per game average and save percentage rank second in the ACC.
- The Blue Devils are 1-0-1 at home this season and are outscoring their opponents 6-2.
Scouting the Demon Deacons
- Wake Forest is 4-1-1 and on a four-game unbeaten streak after beating No. 17 Virginia Saturday night and tying George Washington in a midweek contest. The Demon Deacons moved up to 12th in the rankings before the draw with George Washington.
- The Demon Deacons are coming off of a physical matchup with the Colonials, outshooting George Washington 18-12, but unable to get on the board over 110 minutes. Wake Forest's lone loss was in the season opener against Saint Louis.
- Balance has been the story behind Wake Forest's offense with six different players having at least one goal. Tane Gent is the lone multiple goal scorer with two tallies, while Ema Twumasi has a goal and two assists. Eleven different players have at least one point.
- Defensively, Wake Forest has allowed just two goals and owns a 0.33 goals against average to rank tied for first in the ACC and seventh nationally. The Demon Deacons have allowed 49 shots this season and only 19 on goal. Andreu Cases Mundet has played the most minutes in goal (362) and owns a 0.50 goals against average and a .846 save percentage.
- Wake Forest will be hitting the road for the first time this season after opening the year on a six-game homestand. The Deacs are 1-0 against ranked teams and have played consecutive overtime games.
Last Time Out
- Boston College benefited from a deflection on a long range shot and held off a late charge from the Blue Devils to hand Duke its first loss of the season, 1-0.
- Robert Moewes made three saves in the setback. Brian White hit the crossbar in the early part of the first half and Duke trailed in shots just 12-10 for the game.
- Boston College goalkeeper Cedric Saladin was forced to make five saves in the win, including two in the waning minutes.

- In 2014, Wake Forest scored three second-half goals to break open a 1-1 tie and hand Duke a 4-1 setback. Nick Palodichuk scored the Blue Devils' lone goal.

Duke vs Ranked Teams
- Duke will meet its third straight top 25 opponent Friday night. The Blue Devils are 1-1-0 against ranked teams, defeating No. 9 UCLA and losing to No. 25 Boston College.

Duke Amidst Tough Three-Game Stretch
- Duke's win over ninth-ranked UCLA was the beginning of a tough three-game stretch of three straight ranked opponents.
- Following the win over the Bruins, Duke suffered its first setback to No. 25 Boston College. The Blue Devils finally return home Friday after two weeks gone to host No. 17 Wake Forest.
- Duke also will close the regular season with a grueling schedule, squaring off against ranked North Carolina, Notre Dame and Virginia teams in a span of 14 days.
