DURHAM, N.C. – Duke redshirt junior Johnathan Lloyd has worked his way into a starting wide receiver and leadership role with the Blue Devil football program. Lloyd, a product of Graham, N.C., arrived on campus in December of 2013 and participated in Duke's on-campus practices prior to the program's appearance in the 46th annual Chick-fil-A Bowl. He enrolled at Duke in January of 2014.
David Cutcliffe's Duke Football TV Show spoke with Lloyd about his transition through three positions and lettering for two years with the Duke baseball program. So far this season, Lloyd is second on the squad in receiving yards with 238 and is tied for second in receptions with 23.
The Blue Devils return to the road this weekend, playing their second night game of the year with a 7:20 p.m. Saturday kickoff at Virginia Tech. Live television coverage will be provided by the ACC Network.
