Duke Welcomes Yang for 2018-19 Campaign

DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke fencing team received its sixth signee for the 2018-19 recruiting class as saberist Brenda Yang signed her National Letter of Intent (NLI) to compete for the Blue Devils.
Yang comes to Durham from Skillman, N.J., and currently attends Montgomery High School and is a member of the Bergen Fencing Club.
Most recently, Yang notched 17th at the 2017 North American Cup (NAC) in the junior competition. At the 2016 Summer Nationals, Yang notched bronze in the Division I event and followed that up with two additional bronze medals at the 2016 Junior Olympics (junior) and the 2016 Junior Olympics (cadet).
Additionally, Yang garnered First Team All-State and First Team All-Conference accolades.
