Duke Hosts Fifth Annual STARS Banquet

DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke University Athletic Association presented 13 awards Monday, April 24 at the fourth annual Student-Athlete Talent and Recognition Show (STARS). The event, hosted by Dylan Murphy (senior, Track & Field) and GoDuke.com's Ryan Craig in Reynolds Auditorium, recognized athletic, academic and service achievements and top moments from 2016-17.

Awards ranged from the Social Media Award to Unsung Hero and Performance of the Year, and were nominated and voted upon solely by the Blue Devil student-athletes. Recipients of the Heidrick Family Postgraduate Scholarships, ACC Top Six for Service Awards and the ACC Senior Scholar-Athletes of the Year were also honored during the event.

Mixed in with award presentations were live performances by several student-athletes and videos featuring a number of Duke squads.
