Upcoming Event: Track & Field versus Duke Invitational on April 8, 2026

DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke track and field team heads north for the Armory Invitational in New York, N.Y., starting on Friday afternoon.
Duke is coming off competing at the Clemson Invitational. Seven Blue Devils set personal-bests at the meet, including senior Maddy Price and freshman Kethlin Campbell breaking the school record in the 200m Dash.
The Blue Devils will be one of 15 teams competing in the meet. That number includes three men's teams ranked in the national top 25 and five women's teams in the rankings, headlined by the top ranked Oregon women's squad.
Duke will kick off the meet by competing in the distance medley relay for the first time this season. Duke's relay will consist of junior Gabrielle Richichi, freshman Simi Gbadegesin, freshman Leigha Torino and junior Olivia Gwynn. The men's squad will include sophomore Matt Wisner, freshman Miles Mingo, graduate student Steven Solomon and junior Jordan Burton.
Next up will be the 60m Dash heats. The women will enter five runners, Campbell, Price and juniors Sydnei Murphy, India Lowe and Domonique Panton. Campbell has the best Duke time this season, running 7.59 at the Carolina Cup, the fourth-fastest in program history. Running for the men will be Tionne Barmer who had a personal-best 7.02 at the Carolina Cup.
Five Duke runners will compete in the 60m Hurdles. Freshmen Erin Marsh and Lauren Hoffman return after both finished in the top-10 at the Carolina Cup and junior Jaida Lemmons makes her 2018 debut in the event. Sophomore Christian Friis and freshman Jacob Sobota compete after finishing third and fourth at the Carolina Cup.
Saturday will begin with the women's pole vault. Senior Madison Heath has two of the top five marks in the ACC this season, including her personal-best 14-1.75 (4.31) to move to second-highest in program history. Laura Marty followed with a personal-best of her own at the Clemson Invite, clearing 13-10.00 (4.22) to qualify for the ACC Championships. Junior Nati Sheppard and freshman Rivka Arbiv will enter after finishing in the top-10 at the Clemson Invite and sophomore Chesney Ward rounds out the squad.
Campbell and Murphy headline the female long jumpers. Campbell has the best Duke mark this season, clearing 19-9 (6.02) to finish first at the Carolina Cup and Murphy finished second with a leap of 19-8.25 (6.00). Lemmons and Marsh will compete in the event for the first time this season.
Senior JR Smith competes in the long jump after a third-place finish at the Carolina Cup and will be joined by Friis and Sobota.
Tracy Jander and Cassie Martin enter the high jump for the women while Colt Sessions and Rivers Ridout do so for the men. Both Sessions and Ridout have qualified for the ACC Championships.
Panton enters the triple jump after a season-best 39-8.00 (12.09) last week.
In the throwing events, Ben Beatty and Jack Maher are in the shot put. Beatty has the best toss this season (52-11.00 [16.13]) and finished second at the Carolina Cup. Stefani Vukajlovic and Iyin Battle are in the women's and men's weight throw respectively. Vukajlovic set a personal-best last week, tossing the implement 58-4.75 (17.80). Battle took third place in the Carolina Cup in the event.
Rounding out the field events is Esteban Suarez who competes in the pole vault for the first time since taking first place at the Carolina Cup.
Saturday's track events begin with the 3000m Run. Junior Sheridan Wilbur and sophomore Lindsay Billings return after taking third and fifth respectively with Gwynn also taking the start. For the men, junior Nikhil Pulimood, sophomore Cole Hoff and freshman Michael Ungvarsky will toe the start line.
Torino bumps up to the mile run after taking third in the 800m at the Carolina Cup. For the men, junior Jordan Burton and freshman Alex Miley lead the way after finishing in second and third their first time out. Sophomore Tom Sullivan and freshman Josh Romine will also compete.
In the 400m Dash, Hoffman and Price both enter the distance for the first time this season. They will be followed by the 800m Run which has five Blue Devils in it. Brittany Aveni will try to extend a great start to the season as she has won the 400m at the Carolina Cup and finished in second in the 600m at the Clemson Invite. Also running will be Richichi. For the men, Wisner, Kyle Francis and Solomon will represent the Blue Devils. Wisner and Francis took second and third at the Carolina Cup.
Finishing up the individual events on the track is the 200m Dash. Gbadegesin, Lowe, MacKenzie Kerr, Campbell and Murphy will all race for the women and Barmer and Mingo will run for the men.
Finally, the women will enter the 4x400m relay. The four-racer relay team will come from the group of Aveni, Campbell, Kerr, Lowe and Price.
