Setting the Scene...
The 19th-ranked Duke women's basketball team (17-5, 6-3 ACC) returns home to Cameron Indoor Stadium Thursday, Feb. 1 to host Georgia Tech (13-9, 2-7) at 7 p.m.
Thursday's game will be aired live on ACC Network Extra with Ryan Craig (PXP) and Debbie Taylor (Color) calling the action. It will also be carried on the Blue Devil IMG Sports Network via 620 AM, 99.3 FM, 96.5 FM, TuneIn Radio app and www.GoDuke.com with Chris Edwards on the air beginning at 6:45 p.m.
What is Next?...
Duke will host fifth-ranked Notre Dame Sunday, Feb. 4 for a 1 p.m., tip live on ESPN2 on Super Bowl Sunday. The Blue Devils will be hosting a reunion welcoming back former players along with honoring the 2006 NCAA Final Four squad.
Three Keys...
•Duke has won 29 straight home regular season contests dating back to the 2015-16 campaign. The school record is 30 dating back to the 2010-12 seasons. Lexie Brown has lost only one game in Cameron Indoor Stadium since arriving last season (29-1).
• Lexie Brown has hit a three-pointer in an ACC-best 21 straight games, which is the second-longest streak in Duke history (Georgia Schweitzer - 25 in 2000-01).
• Rebecca Greenwell is only 12 points away from moving up two spots on the Duke career points charts. She owns 1,700 points heading into Thursday's contest.
Storylines/Other Blue Devil Notes...
• At Pitt, Duke registered its 900th all-time victory over the 43 years of basketball in Durham. The Blue Devils feature a record of 900-391.
• The Blue Devils have won 28 out of its last 29 home contests in Cameron Indoor Stadium. The lone loss was to Oregon in the 2017 NCAA Tournament second round.
• Lexie Brown is the only player in the ACC to rank in the top of the league in scoring (4th), rebounds (20th), assists (15th) and steals (1st) in ACC games only.
• Bego Faz Davalos moved into 25th on the NCAA career blocks list with her four swats against Pitt. She needs one more to move into 24th.
• Redshirt junior Sofia Roma made her Duke debut against Boston College notching two points, four rebounds and one steal in eight minutes.
• Rebecca Greenwell became just the eighth player in Duke history to reach the 1,700-point mark with her nine points at Pitt. Greenwell needs four points to move into a tie for eighth place along with Jasmine Thomas (1,704) and 12 to move into a tie for seventh along with Iciss Tillis (1,712).
• Lexie Brown is the only player in the ACC with 80+ steals and 80+ assists (88 assists, 82 steals). The next closest player is Chanette Hicks of Virginia Tech with 129 assists and 71 steals.
•Duke has forced 16 shot clock violations this season by its defense.
•In ACC games only, Duke leads the league in three-point field goal percentage (43.9).
• Haley Gorecki became the first Blue Devil to hit seven or more treys in back-to-back games with her 14 against Virginia Tech and UNC.
• Duke features three players with 25 or more blocks for the third straight year -- Leaonna Odom (31), Erin Mathias (25) and Jade Williams (25). Duke had not featured three with as many blocks since the 2005-06 campaign.
•Jade Williams ranks tied fourth in ACC games only with a 1.6 blocks average.
• After scoring 57 points against Virginia Tech and North Carolina, Haley Gorecki has been limited to 15 points the last two games. She has hit 5-of-18 field goals and 1-of-7 treys.
• Lexie Brown (1,896, 14th) and Rebecca Greenwell (1,700, 24th) rank in the top 24 of the active NCAA career scoring leaders. Duke is the only team to feature two in the top 25. Brown is nearing 2,000 career points over her career.
• Lexie Brown and Rebecca Greenwell combined for 50 points at Wake Forest. It marked the fifth time the tandem have combined for 50 or more points over the last two years - 2017-18 (Old Dominion, WFU), 2016-17 (Longwood, Old Dominion, Miami).
• Duke leads the ACC in paint defense, only allowing 19.55 points in the paint per game. The next closest team is Virginia with a 20.82 average.
• Rebecca Greenwell became the first Duke player to amass 1,500 points, 600 rebounds and 200 made three-pointers at Villanova. Greenwell could also become the third guard in Blue Devil history to register 1,500 points and 700 rebounds along with Monique Currie and Alana Beard. Greenwell currently owns 1,700 points and 670 rebounds.

A Look at Georgia Tech...
Georgia Tech enters the contest with a 13-9 overall and 2-7 league mark. The Yellow Jackets have been led by Francesca Pan (13.0 points, 49 treys) and Zaire O'Neil (11.1 points, 5.8 rebounds) on the season.
The Series with Georgia Tech...
Duke owns an impressive all-time series record of 60-9 over Georgia Tech and a mark of 28-3 for games played in Cameron. The Blue Devils have averaged 75.5 points a game against Georgia Tech and held the Yellow Jackets to 60.5 points over the series.
Coach P holds a mark of 11-2 over Georgia Tech.
Duke Players vs. Georgia Tech...
In her first meeting against Georgia Tech as a Blue Devil last year, Lexie Brown totaled 25 points, seven steals, four rebounds and four assists in 37 minutes against the Yellow Jackets.
Rebecca Greenwell has averaged 16.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.7 steals in three meetings with Georgia Tech.
Solid Defense...
Since allowing 83.5 points a contest against Virginia Tech and North Carolina, Duke has come back to hold Boston College and Pitt to a combined 96 points.
Duke held the last two opponents to only 35.8 percent shooting and 27.8 percent from downtown, while holding them to 48.0 points.
Over the first 18 games, the Blue Devils only allowed an opponent to score over 70 points once (South Carolina). In back-to-back contests against Virginia Tech (75) and UNC (92) Duke gave up a total of 167 points.
The 92 points by North Carolina was the most allowed by Duke since Nov. 15, 2009 at Texas A&M (77-95). It was only the fourth time under Coach P Duke has allowed 90+ points.
Duke's Brown Leads ACC in Scoring...
Lexie Brown currently leads the ACC in scoring with a 20.4 per game average. Only two Blue Devils in school history have led the league in scoring -- Alana Beard and Chris Moreland. If Brown continues to hold her average above 20.0 points, she would total just the fourth time a Blue Devil has averaged 20.0 or better in a season.

Multiple Three-Point Shooters...
Duke is the only team in the ACC to feature three players to have made over 30 treys and be shooting above 40 percent from beyond the arc.
Lexie Brown (50-116, .431), Rebecca Greenwell (37-84, .440) and Haley Gorecki (44-102, .431). The trio have combined to hit 131 three-pointers for a 43.4 percentage.
Nationally in three-point field goal percentage, Greenwell ranks 23rd, Gorecki is 30th and Brown is 31st. Duke is the only team in the NCAA to feature three players in the top 35 of the rankings.
Duke has only had one season in which at least three players finished the season having made at least 30 treys and shot over 40 percent (1998-99: Nicole Erickson, Georgia Schweitzer and Hilary Howard).
Mathias Picking Up Play...
Over her first three years, Mathias hit 89 field goals and through 22 contests she has sank 88 as a senior.
Over the last five games, senior Erin Mathias has picked up her play averaging 10.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.6 blocks and 1.4 steals. She has notched double-digit scoring in four out of the last five contests.
Mathias has also hit 50.0 percent of her field goals during that stretch.
On the season, Mathias has notched double-digit scoring a total of 10 times and four versus ACC opponents. She is coming off totaling her third double-double in her hometown of Pittsburgh Sunday with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
In ACC games only, she ranks 12th in field goal percentage (52.5) and tied eighth in blocks (1.2).
ACC Scoring Duos...
Duke features the fourth-highest scoring duo in ACC contests with Lexie Brown (19.3) and Haley Gorecki (15.4) averaging a combined 34.7 points a game.
