Blue Devils Hold Annual True Blue Golf Classic

DURHAM, N.C. - Head coach Joanne P. McCallie and the Duke women's basketball program held its 11th annual True Blue Golf Classic Monday at the Croasdaile Country Club in Durham, N.C. The event featured over 80 golfers, while raising money for Duke women's basketball and the Polka Dot Mama Melanoma Foundation.

The participants teed off at 12:00 p.m., as members of the Duke team as well as staff came out to meet the golfers, take a few pictures, sign autographs and even take a few putts as well. Following the 18 holes of captain's choice golf, all participants gathered at Croasdaile Country Club for drinks, a meal, speaker and auction.

Awards were given out for the top two teams in each division, closest to the pin and longest drive. Listed below are the winners. Thanks to everyone who participated in this wonderful event.

Mens' Division:
1st Place: Net 49, Jeff Stewart, Clay Thomas, Kevin Currin, John Wanio
2nd Place: Net 50, Jeff Pittman, Scott McClellan, Erik Spina, Graham Holt

Co-Ed Division:
1st Place: Net 50, Elaine Berry, Tracey Hauth, Kelly Ritter, Dana Risley
2nd Place: Net 54, Vernon Averett, Maddie McCallie, John McCallie, Tom Bordeaux

Women's Division:
1st Place: Net 65, Barb St. Clair, Linda Yankes, Alice Gould, Karen Blanchard
2nd Place: Net 66, Debbie Leonard, Barb Krause, Sue Gordon, Jacki Silar
