DURHAM, N.C. – Duke redshirt sophomore offensive tackle Jaylen Miller underwent surgery on Sunday morning to address a fractured right ankle suffered in the Blue Devils' loss to Virginia. He will miss the remainder of the 2018 season.
Miller, a native of Jacksonville, Fla., had appeared in all seven games this season while starting the Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech and Virginia contests at left tackle.
The surgical procedure was performed by Dr. Annunziato Amendola.
Miller becomes the 11th Blue Devil with starting experience to miss at least one game this season due to injury, joining running back Brittain Brown, cornerback Michael Carter II, defensive tackle Edgar Cerenord, cornerback Mark Gilbert, center Zach Harmon, safety Jordan Hayes, quarterback Daniel Jones, defensive end Drew Jordan, safety Jeremy McDuffie, linebacker Koby Quansah and wide receiver Aaron Young.
Duke (5-2, 1-2 ACC) returns to action on Saturday with a road contest versus Pittsburgh (3-4, 2-1 ACC). Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m., on Regional Sports Networks.
