Duke Women Jump to No. 16 in Latest CSCAA Poll

DURHAM, N.C. – Following a solid weekend of action that saw members of the Duke swimming and diving teams compete at the Big Al Invitational and at the inaugural ACC/Big Ten Challenge, the Blue Devil women rose four spots in the latest national poll, as announced Wednesday by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
The women's squad jumped four spots to No. 16 in the poll, marking the highest national ranking for the program since the Duke women were ranked 17th in 2015.
The Blue Devils were one of seven ACC squads to appear in the Nov. 14 CSCAA rankings, joining No. 4 Virginia, No. 7 NC State, No. 8 Louisville, No. 14 Notre Dame, No. 19 North Carolina and No. 22 Florida State.
The Duke women took first and the men second over the weekend at Princeton's Big Al Invitational. The two-day meet featured five men's and women's teams and saw a number of season-best times and scores by Blue Devil swimmers and divers. Eight Blue Devils also represented the ACC at the inaugural ACC/Big Ten Challenge in West Lafayette, Ind.
Duke wraps up the fall portion of the 2018-19 slate later this month, competing Nov. 29 through Dec. 2 at the Tennessee Invitational in Knoxville, Tenn.
