DURHAM -- Duke Basketball has announced that its holiday showdown at Madison Square Garden versus Texas Tech will be sponsored by Ameritas. Tickets are now on sale for the Ameritas Insurance Classic, set for Thursday, December 20, between the Blue Devils and Red Raiders.
A limited number of tickets remain, and Duke fans can purchase tickets at www.goduke.com/tickets. Tickets starts at $85 each.
“Ameritas is proud to sponsor the Ameritas Insurance Classic for the second time,” said Karen Gustin, Executive Vice President, Group Division. “Once again, we're bring together two great teams from two of the nation's finest universities to play at Madison Square Garden, one of the premier sporting venues in the world. We're looking forward to an exciting game."
Two of the Elite Eight teams from a season ago, Duke and Texas Tech combined for 56 wins last season. The Blue Devils are ranked No. 1 and 3-0 on the young season, while the Red Raiders are also 3-0 and receiving votes in the latest AP Top 25 poll.
The Duke-Texas Tech game tips at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2.

The first Ameritas Insurance Classic pitted Duke against Utah in 2015, a rematch of the previous year's Sweet 16 meeting. The reigning national champion Blue Devils fell in overtime to the Utes, 77-75, in the inaugural Ameritas Insurance Classic on Dec. 19, 2015 at Madison Square Garden.
Duke is no stranger to Madison Square Garden, playing 52 games (34-18) all-time in the World's Most Famous Arena – the fifth-most played arena for the Blue Devils behind only Cameron Indoor Stadium, Greensboro Coliseum, Reynolds Coliseum and Card Gymnasium.
