DURHAM, N.C. – Duke redshirt freshman tight end Jake Marwede underwent surgery on Monday to address a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and will miss the remainder of the 2018 season.

Marwede, who had appeared in eight games this season, suffered the injury in Duke's 35-6 loss to No. 2 Clemson on Saturday.

The surgical procedure was performed by Dr. Jonathan Riboh.

Duke (7-4, 3-4 ACC) returns to action on Saturday by hosting Wake Forest (5-6, 2-5 ACC). Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m. The game will be televised by Regional Sports Network.
