DURHAM, N.C.— The year of 2018 featured many great memories for the Duke women's basketball program and as 2019 approaches we look back at some of those moments and reflect.

Duke Knocks off 18th-ranked Georgia to Advance to NCAA Sweet 16
The Blue Devils were sent to Athens, Ga., and had to take on two ranked opponents for the chance to advance to the NCAA Regional. Duke did just that knocking off 23rd-ranked Belmont, 72-58, and then upended fourth-seeded and 18th-ranked Georgia, 66-40, to advance to the NCAA regional for the 17th time in school history.

Splash Sisters combine for 53 points to lead Duke over UNC on Senior Day
The Splash Sister duo of Rebecca Greenwell and Lexie Brown played their last game in Cameron Indoor Stadium on Feb. 25, 2018 and went out in style. They combined for 53 points in a triumphant, 70-54, victory over rival North Carolina. Greenwell totaled 31 points and 13 rebounds, while Brown added 22 points and 11 assists in the win.

McCallie Nets 300 Wins in Victory Over Ball State
With the 79-62 win over Ball State, Duke head coach Joanne P. McCallie became the quickest coach in ACC history to reach 300 wins at an institution in only 382 games. The next closest coach was Kay Yow as she accomplished this mark in 397 contests.

Lexie Brown named ACC Defensive POY
For the eighth time over the last 15 years, a Duke women's basketball student-athlete was voted ACC Defensive Player of the Year as Blue Devil fifth-year senior Lexie Brown was voted by the 15 league head coaches in 2017-18. Brown joined Elizabeth Williams (2015, 2014, 2013, 2012), Chante Black (2009) and Lindsey Harding (2007, 2006) as Blue Devils who have been selected ACC Defensive Player of the Year.

Erin Mathias Designs Outfit for Coach P versus FSU; Duke Upsets No. 9 FSU, 79-66
For Duke's Play4Kay contest against ninth-ranked Florida State, senior Erin Mathias designed and made an outfit for Blue Devil head coach Joanne P. McCallie to wear in Cameron Indoor Stadium. The outfit turned out great and the Blue Devils played even better knocking off the Seminoles, 79-66.

Mikayla Boykin Return Versus UNLV and Sparks Duke to Win
In her first action in almost a year, Duke redshirt freshman Mikayla Boykin sparked the Blue Devils to a 66-38 victory over UNLV on Dec. 6 in Cameron Indoor Stadium. Boykin, who tore her ACL on December 10, 2017, made her season debut collected 11 points, six assists, a career-high five steals and four rebounds in 20 minutes.

Gorecki has Career Night at Virginia Tech in Win
After being held to 13 points over the two previous contests, Haley Gorecki had a career night on the road at Virginia Tech on Jan. 18 as she exploded for a career-high 28 points as she went 9-of-14 from the field and 7-of-10 from behind the arc. She also added six rebounds and three assists in 36 minutes. Gorecki was inserted into the starting lineup and over a span of 11 games before being injured she averaged 17.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.8 steals.

Greenwell Sets 3-Point Field Goal Record
Rebecca Greenwell drained 3-of-5 three-point field goals on her way to setting the Duke all-time three-point field goals made record of 254 as the Blue Devils downed Wake Forest, 80-67, on the road in Winston-Salem, N.C., on Jan. 11. Greenwell finished the night with a then season-high 23 points and passed Tricia Liston's all-time mark of 252 three-point field goals made.

Brown Becomes Second-Quickest Duke Player to Reach 1,000 Points
Lexie Brown scored 23 points and become the second-quickest Blue Devil to reach 1,000 points in her Duke career in an 86-75 win over Virginia Tech on Jan. 18. Brown reached the mark in only 53 games and was only three contests shy of Chris Moreland's mark of 50 games.

Odom's Has Impressive NCAA Tournament
Duke sophomore Leaonna Odom has elevated her game each season in the NCAA Tournament and this was the case in 2018 as the versatile wing averaged 21.0 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.0 steals in three NCAA contests. She tallied a career-high 25 points versus Belmont, 16 against Georgia and 22 points in the NCAA regional against top-seeded UConn.

Goodchild Leads Australia to Bronze Medal in India
Prior to setting foot on the Cameron Indoor Stadium floor for her freshman season, rookie Miela Goodchild headed to India with her Australia squad for the FIBA Under-18 Asian Championship. Goodchild featured an outstanding tournament averaging 17.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 3.0 steals. She led the tournament in scoring. Goodchild scored a game-high 21 points to go along with nine rebounds in the bronze medal game to knock off Korea, 75-58.

Brown, Greenwell Drafted in 2018 WNBA Draft
For the fifth time over the last eight seasons, Duke featured a WNBA first round selection as Blue Devil fifth-year senior Lexie Brown was taken with the ninth overall selection by the Connecticut Sun on April 12 at the Nike New York Headquarters. Duke fifth-year senior Rebecca Greenwell was also selected with the seventh pick in the third round by the Washington Mystics. Overall, Brown became Duke's 11th WNBA first round selection in school history and it marked the eighth time the Blue Devils have featured two or more draft picks in the same season.
