Blue Devils Relaunch Duke Blue Planet

DURHAM, N.C. – Duke Basketball has relaunched the popular Duke Blue Planet brand as a unique video series designed to document the team's journey through the 2018-19 season.

In conjunction with the Earn Everything all-access show currently in production for ESPN+, Duke Blue Planet will give fans a rarely-seen glimpse into head coach Mike Krzyzewski's five-time National Championship program. The first DBP episode takes you behind-the-scenes in Canada, where the Blue Devils capped a successful foreign tour in front of three sold-out crowds in Toronto and Montreal.

Narrated and hosted from the players' perspective, DBP is a longer-form, vlog-style video that will drop regularly on the Blue Devils' highly-followed social media accounts, including YouTube and IGTV. It is produced and edited by the @DukeMBB social media team.

Thanks in large part to the success of Duke Blue Planet in the early days of social media, Duke Basketball has fostered the largest social following in college athletics. Now consolidated under one handle "@DukeMBB", the team boasts a combined social media following of nearly 3.7 million -- one million more than the next closest college team (Alabama Football, 2.64 million).
