Duke's defense limited the Eagles to zero points and eight total offensive yards after intermission. Sophomore DT Derrick Tangelo carded a team-high 11 tackles while LB Ben Humphreys chipped in six stops including two tackles behind the line of scrimmage.
For N.C. Central, RB Isaiah Totten rushed 12 times for 88 yards and one touchdown.
QUOTABLE
"It felt good. Early we did a good job of taking what the defense gave me. I'm pretty confident with the offense when things started rolling our way. We faced some adversity in the second quarter. I was trying to press a couple things and force a couple things so I've just got to get better with that week to week, but I thought we did a pretty good job of moving the ball all game.”
-- Duke QB Quentin Harris
BROWN JOINS ELITE COMPANY
In the win over N.C. Central, RB Brittain Brown became the fourth player in Duke history to have a 40-yard rushing TD and a 40-yard receiving score in the same game … The last player to accomplish the feat was Buddy Mulligan against Richmond in 1946.
WINNING STREAK
Dating back to last season, Duke has won seven consecutive contests for the fourth longest active winning streak in the nation, trailing Central Florida (16), Ohio State (9) and Penn State (8) ... The seven-game winning streak is Duke's longest since stringing together eight consecutive victories during the 2013 season ... The school record for consecutive wins is nine set 1933, 1938 & 1941.

ASSOCIATED PRESS NATIONAL POLL
The Blue Devils cracked the Associated Press national poll this week at No. 22 ... The last time Duke was ranked was in the October 25, 2015 poll (No. 22) ... As a ranked squad, the Blue Devils hold an all-time record of 92-45-5 including a 5-4 ledger in the David Cutcliffe Era.
CUTCLIFFE ON JONES
“He's practicing. We probably won't get him any contact work in practice. I don't want to, oops, we shouldn't have done that. But he is getting some work. That's the key. When you have a player like that, it's always safety first. It's also important that they communicate to us what it feels like. Not just when you are doing things. What was your body's response to working hard the day before? So our trainers and doctors do an incredible job but until I know he's safe, we're not going to put him out there.”
-- Duke head coach David Cutcliffe on QB Daniel Jones
