NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – Duke men's tennis doubles tandem of
Sean Sculley and
Nick Stachowiak advanced in the consolation draw of the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships by the way of a 6-1, 6-4 win over Central Florida on Thursday at the Newport Beach Tennis Center in Newport Beach, Calif.

After dropping their first match in the event, Sculley and Stachowiak bounced back in a commanding fashion by topping fifth-seed Gabriel Decamps and Juan Mazzuchi of UCF in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4.

The Duke tandem continues its run through the consolation draw in The Golden State tomorrow as the duo faces No. 13 Richard Ciamarra and Tristan McCormick of Notre Dame tomorrow in the consolation quarterfinals.
