Chris Pollard and the Duke baseball program are excited to now welcome the 2020 recruiting class. Right-handed pitcher and infielder
Collin Bosley-Smith is a part of the talented group set to arrive in Durham next fall.
"Collin Bosley-Smit is a right-handed pitcher with a ton a velocity and potential," said Pollard. "He has been up to 95 miles per hour, and has participated in some of the top showcases in the country including the prestigious East Coast Pro event. He's got a six-foot four frame, and he really creates a great downhill angle on his fastball."
A four-year letterwinner at Woodrow Wilson High School, Bosley-Smith comes to Durham from the nation's capital as a native of Washington, D.C. The right-hander received multiple accolades following his junior campaign, including being named both 2019 DCIAA Most Valuable Player and the Gatorade Player of the Year for Washington, D.C. He has garnered All-Metro honors twice, while also being tabbed as a preseason Perfect Game All-American. Bosley-Smith closed out his junior season with a 3-2 record on the mound across eight starts, while notching one complete game and 54 strikeouts.
A two-sport athlete, Bosley-Smith also competed in basketball his freshman year at Woodrow Wilson, lettering as a small forward. He is regarded as an AP Scholar while also serving as a member of the Sports Analytics Club.
Bosley-Smith is regarded as a top-200 national prospect according to Perfect Game, being listed as the 64
th-best right-handed pitcher in the country. Additionally, the organization lists Bosley-Smith as both the top-ranked player and the top-ranked right-handed pitcher in the Washington, D.C.
Bosley-Smith is part of Duke's 12-member 2020 recruiting class. GoDuke.com is set to release details on all 12 of the newest Blue Devils in the coming weeks.
