VICTORIA, Australia — Five different former Duke women's golf standouts will open the 2019 LPGA season this week in Australia at the ISPS Handa Vic Open in Victoria from Feb. 7-10. Competing this week will be Celine Boutier, Lindy Duncan, Brittany Lang, Yu Liu and Leona Maguire.
It marks the first time the ISPS Handa Vic Open is an official LPGA Tour event, which will take place at the 13th Beach Golf Links. The tournament will be jointly sanctioned by the LPGA Tour, the ALPG, the European Tour and the ISPS Handa PGA Tour of Australasia. It will feature 156 women and 156 men seeing action at the Beach and Creek Course.
Duncan will tee off at 8:20 a.m., along with Hanee Song and Sherman Santiwiwatthanaphong off hole No. 1, while Lang will go off No. 10 at 8:10 a.m., with Charley Hull and Minjee Lee. The rest of the Blue Devils will go off in the afternoon with Maguire holding a 12:30 p.m., time with Azahara Munoz and Stephanie Na. Boutier will open play at 1:40 p.m., with Breanna Gill and Youngin Chun, while Liu opens at 1:30 p.m. with Rebecca Artis and Ayako Uehara.
Fans can watch the action via the Golf Channel Feb. 6-7 (11 pm – 2 a.m.), Feb. 8 (9 p.m. – 3 a.m.) and Feb. 9 (8 p.m. – 2 a.m.). Live scoring will also be available at www.lpga.com.
