Upcoming Event: Track & Field versus Duke Invitational on April 8, 2026

DURHAM, N.C. – 10 Duke student-athletes are set to conclude the 2019 season this week at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Hosted by the University of Texas, the four-day meet will run from June 5-8 at the Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin.
NCAA qualifying athletes are among the top 24 in the country in their respective events.
The event kicks off Wednesday with the first day of the men's competition and the Blue Devil women will begin Thursday with the hammer throw at 5:30 p.m. (ET).
Each day of competition will be televised live by ESPN, beginning Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. (ET) on ESPN2. On Thursday, running events will begin on ESPNU at 8 p.m. (ET) before ESPN2 takes over at 9 p.m. (ET). Friday's action will begin at 8:30 p.m. (ET) on ESPN and will conclude Saturday on ESPN2 at 6:30 p.m. (ET).

RETURN TO NCAAs
Three of the 10 Blue Devils that qualified for the 2019 NCAA Outdoor Championships are making consecutive trips back to the national stage.
This campaign marks the fourth straight season that senior MacKenzie Kerr will compete with the women's 4x400m relay and joining her as a member of the relay squad is Brittany Aveni.
India Lowe returns to NCAAs alongside Kerr and Aveni and will run a leg of the 4x400m relay.
NEW FACES MAKING NCAA DEBUT
The remaining seven qualifying Blue Devils will be making their NCAA Outdoor Championship debut this week in Austin.
Monica Hebner is set to compete in the 10000m while Lauren Hoffman will double up in the 400m hurdles and 4x400m relay. Erin Marsh is Duke's lone multi-event athlete and Domonique Panton is slated for the triple jump. Nati Sheppard will represent the Blue Devil pole vaulters while Stefani Vukajlovic will compete in the hammer throw.
RELAY LOOKS TO MAKE NCAA FINAL
Duke will be sending its women's 4x400m relay team to NCAAs for the fourth straight season in search of making the first final in school history.
Kerr has been a member of the NCAA 4x400m relay team all four years with Lowe joining the last three. Aveni returns for the second consecutive season and Hoffman will make her outdoor 4x400m championship debut this week. Additionally, freshman Kelcie Simmons will serve as an alternate to the relay.
Most recently at the NCAA East Preliminary Round, the quartet of Lowe, Kerr, Hoffman and Aveni clocked in the third-fastest time in Duke outdoor history (3:32.84) to punch their ticket to the national meet.
MARSH'S HEPTATHLON DOMINANCE CARRIES HER TO AUSTIN
Currently in the nation, Marsh is ranked fourth with her school-record point total in the heptathlon, 5,806.
At the ACC Outdoor Championships, Marsh qualified for nationals with her silver medal performance. During the conference meet, Marsh posted personal bests in six of the seven events.
HOFFMAN LOOKS TO CONTINUE HURDLE SUCCESS
At the NCAA East Preliminary Round, Hoffman placed 12th overall to book her ticket to the national meet. The Haymarket, Va., native clocked in at 57.92, good for the second-fastest time in Duke outdoor history. Her time was also a 0.41 second improvement.
STRONG FIELD EVENTS LOOKING FOR SUCCESS
Panton, Sheppard and Vukajlovic all look to continue their success respective events.
At Regionals, Panton secured a personal-best mark of 13.36 (wind aided) in the triple jump to place sixth overall as she crushed her previous best distance.
In pole vault, Sheppard cleared 4.07m to tie for 11th overall and owns the fourth-best height in Duke outdoor history, 4.23m.
Vukajlovic tossed the implement 64.95m at the annual Duke Invitational to rewrite her own school record.
HEBNER TO REPRESENT DUKE'S DISTANCE SQUAD
Rookie Hebner will be Duke's lone distance athlete this week in Austin and will compete in the 10000m.
At the NCAA East Preliminary Round, Hebner posted a 30-second PR to place 11th overall in 33:52.83 to punch her ticket to Austin.
