DURHAM, N.C. – Moving two spots from last week, Duke men's tennis improved to No. 19 in this week's Tennis Channel/USTA College Tennis Top 25 rankings, as announced by the organization on Wednesday morning.
The Blue Devils, who received 40 points last week to rank 21st, received 76 points to tie with the University of Central Florida (UCF) at No. 19.
Duke went 2-1 on the weekend, facing two SEC opponents in Tennessee and Kentucky, while also playing local NC Central.
Against No. 12 Tennessee, Duke took the doubles point after winning on courts one and two but fell 6-1 after all singles matches went to three sets. The Blue Devils bounced back on Sunday, defeating No. 25 Kentucky, 4-1, before blanking NC Central, 7-0.
