DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke baseball team will featured in eight nationally televised games during the 2020 season, the league office and ESPN announced Tuesday afternoon. ACC Network will broadcast eight of the Blue Devil's marquee matchups throughout the season, including two full weekend ACC series.
Duke will first appear on the ACC Network in its series against in-state rival North Carolina, beginning on Friday, March 13. The series between the Tobacco Road Rivals is set for a 7 p.m. first pitch Friday evening, while both Saturday's and Sunday's games are scheduled for a noon start on the network from the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
The Blue Devils fourth matchup on national television will come the very next week, as Duke hosts Columbia for the first of a two-game midweek series. The matchup between the Blue Devils and Lions is slated for a 4 p.m. first pitch at the DBAP.
ACC Network will carry its second Duke weekend series of the season in the final weekend of March, as the Blue Devils welcome Miami to the Bull City. The first two games of the series are set for 7 p.m., while the series finale between the Blue Devils and Hurricanes is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start.
Duke's final game on the network will come on Wednesday, April 1, as the Blue Devils host NC Central at 7 p.m.
Coupled with the 34 lacrosse events set for ACCN announced last week and 36 softball games, ACC spring sports will enjoy the most national coverage ever for the 2020 season with more than 140 total regular season and tournament games on the network. Additionally, ACC Network Extra (ACCNX), ACCN's digital platform available on the ESPN App, will carry 354 baseball games throughout the spring, totaling the most coverage ever for the sport.
ACCN will feature the semifinals of the ACC Baseball Championship on May 23 live from BB&T Ballpark in Charlotte, N.C. ESPN2 will have the ACC Baseball Championship game on Sunday, May 24.
