How to Watch
Setting the Scene...
The No. 3 seeded Duke women's basketball team (18-11, 12-6 ACC) will enter the ACC Tournament in Greensboro, N.C., as one of the hottest squads in the field as the Blue Devils are winners of seven out of the last eight contests. Duke will receive a double-bye and will kick off action Friday, March 6 at 8 p.m., versus either the No. 6 seed Boston College (18-11), No. 11 seed Miami (15-14) or No. 14 seed Clemson (7-22) in the Greensboro Coliseum.
The game will be aired live on RSN-TV with Tom Werme (PXP), Debbie Antonelli (Color) and Kelley Deyo (Color) calling the action. It will also be carried on the Duke Sports Network via WDNC AM 620, TuneIn app and www.GoDuke.com with Chris Edwards (PXP) on the air beginning at 7:45 p.m. (ET).
Friday's winner will advance to the ACC Tournament semifinals, which will take place Saturday, March 7 at 2:30 p.m., live on ESPNU.
Three Keys...
1) Duke has won at least one game in the ACC Tournament in 23 out of the last 25 appearances. The Blue Devils have also been a top four seed in 23 out of the last 25 tournaments as well.
2)
Haley Gorecki is the only power five conference player nationally to average over 18.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.0 steals. Gorecki is also the only player nationally with over 500 points, 175 rebounds, 125 assists, 50 steals and 15 blocked shots.
3) The Blue Devils own a 48-34 overall record in the ACC Tournament and have won eight ACC Championships since 2000.

Strength of Schedule...
The Blue Devils feature the fifth-toughest schedule nationally -- Oklahoma (1), Ohio State (2), Virginia (3), Washington State (4), Oklahoma State (5), Duke (6), Auburn (7), South Carolina (8), Maryland (9) and Oregon (10) round out the top 10.
Duke's five non-conference losses in 2019-20 came against teams that have collected a combined 121-26 record.
The Blue Devils are currently ranked No. 24 in the latest RPI.
Storylines/Other Blue Devil Notes...
• The Blue Devils have won eight ACC Championships over the last 20 years and have advanced to the ACC title game a total of 14 times.

Joanne P. McCallie coached in her 900th career contest last Sunday at North Carolina. • Duke has used the same starting lineup for each of the last 13 games.

Miela Goodchild closed the regular season with 12 points at North Carolina as she hit 2-of-4 three-pointers. She had scored only 13 points over the last eight.
• Over the last three games,
Kyra Lambert has averaged 10.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.3 steals. She has hit 4-of-7 treys and 11-of-18 field goals (61.1%).
• Duke's win at eighth-ranked NC State was the first win over a top-10 team since Feb. 19, 2018 versus No. 9 Florida State (79-66). It was the first road win over a top-10 team since Feb. 2, 2015 at No. 8 Louisville (66-58).

Haley Gorecki currently ranks second in the ACC with 158 made free throws and tied for third with 186 attempts, while ranking third with an 86.1 free throw percentage. Her 158 free throws made ranks tied for fifth nationally.
• Duke has won 11 out of the last 14 and nine out of the last 11 contests.

Haley Gorecki became the eighth-quickest Blue Devil to notch 1,300 points. She accomplished this mark in 94 career games. The school record was 63 by Chris Moreland.

Haley Gorecki is the only player in the ACC who ranks in the top five in the conference in scoring, top 20 in rebounding and top 10 in assists.

Kyra Lambert has a three-pointer in a career-best 11 straight games and has hit 17-of-39 (43.6) during that streak.
• Over the last eight games, Duke has averaged only 15.8 turnovers a game and had a season-low eight at NC State.
• In the ACC stats, Duke leads the league with 10.1 steals per game and ranks 24th nationally.

Haley Gorecki averaged 36.0 minutes a contest last season and is averaging 36.4 minutes in 2019-20. She would become the first Blue Devil to average 35.0 minutes or more in back-to-back seasons.
• Duke trailed, 40-33, heading into the fourth quarter against Notre Dame and rallied for a 50-47 victory. It was the Blue Devils' largest comeback in the fourth quarter since the NCAA moved to the quarter system in 2015-16.

Leaonna Odom ranks sixth in the ACC in field goal percentage, at 54.3 percent per game.

Blue Devils in the ACC Tournament...
Duke features limited experience in the ACC Tournament and eight Blue Devils have scored only a combined 177 points.
Haley Gorecki saw her first action in the tournament last year, while averaging 17.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 3.0 steals. She hit 4-of-14 treys.
Kyra Lambert will return to the ACC Tournament after missing the last two years with injuries. She has appeared in five games and started three of those contests. She has averaged 7.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists.
In her first appearance last year as a freshman,
Miela Goodchild averaged 9.5 points and hit 5-of-10 treys in two games.

Mikayla Boykin will see her first collegiate action in the ACC Tournament, after missing the last two years with injuries.

McCallie in Tournament Play...
In her 27 years as a head coach,
Joanne P. McCallie has produced a 43-18 record in league tournament action. She totaled an 8-1 mark in the North Atlantic Conference Tournament with two titles, a 10-2 record along with two titles in the America East Tournament, a 6-6 mark with one title in the Big Ten Tournament and a 20-9 mark in the ACC Tournament to go along with titles in 2010, 2011 and 2013.
Duke in the ACC Tournament...
The Blue Devils own a 48-34 overall record in the ACC Tournament and have won at least one game in 23 out of the last 25 years.
With the ACC Tournament moving to Greensboro in 2000, Duke's luck in the postseason changed greatly as the Blue Devils won 17 consecutive games to claim the ACC Tournament crowns from 2000-04 before losing to North Carolina in the championship in 2005. Duke has recorded a 39-12 ledger playing at the Greensboro Coliseum. It had been nicknamed Duke's "Home Away From Home."
The first two victories came in 1999 in the NCAA East Regional against Old Dominion and Tennessee. The victories advanced Duke to its first NCAA Final Four and National Championship game appearance. In ACC Tournament games, the Blue Devils have posted a 37-11 overall record in Greensboro.

The Series with Boston College...
Duke and Boston College have met 20 times in school history with the Blue Devils leading the series, 16-4. The two teams have never faced each other in the ACC Tournament.
Over the last five games, Duke has won four of those contests and lead the series, 16-4. Coach P has totaled a 13-7 record versus Boston College over her career.
Earlier this season, the Blue Devils won 85-73 over the Eagles in Durham, N.C., back in December.
The Series with Miami...
Duke and Miami have faced each other 19 times in school history with the Blue Devils leading the series, 15-4. The Hurricanes have won two out of the last three, but Duke won earlier this season, 74-55, in Coral Gabels, Fla.
Coach P owns an 11-5 record versus the Hurricanes.
Duke and Miami have met in the ACC Tournament only once on March 4, 2017 as Duke won 57-52 in the semifinals.
The Series with Clemson...
Duke and Clemson have met a total of 75 times in school history with the Blue Devils leading the series, 42-33. The Tigers are coming off notching a 62-58 victory in the last meeting on Jan. 19, 2020 in Clemson, S.C.
In the ACC Tournament, Duke holds a 2-7 record versus the Tigers, but has not met since 1999.
Coach P owns a 13-1 mark versus the Tigers.
Akinbode-James Closes Strong...
Sophomore
Onome Akinbode-James closed the regular season strong scoring double-digits in two out of the last three contests. Over those three contests, she averaged 8.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.0 steals.
It marked the first two double-digit scoring performances against ACC foes this season and the first since Dec. 4 at Nebraska.
Akinbode-James collected 12 points and six boards at NC State and 10 points at North Carolina. She took three charges in the first half at UNC and leads Duke with nine charges taken on the season.
Over the last six games, she has averaged 5.8 rebounds.
Another Impressive Mark...
At Virginia Tech on Feb. 27,
Haley Gorecki scored seven points in the first half to reach 500 points on the season. She became just the sixth Blue Devil in school history to notch back-to-back 500-point seasons -- Alana Beard, Lexie Brown, Monique Currie, Chris Moreland and Jasmine Thomas.

Turnarounds...
After opening ACC action with a 1-3 record, the Blue Devils have since won 11 out of the last 14 contests.
It was the best turnaround for the Blue Devils since 2017-18 when Duke opened 0-2 in the league and then won nine out of its next 11 contests. Duke finished with an 11-5 record in the ACC that season.
Duke went from near the bottom of the ACC to finishing No. 3 in the ACC in 2019-20.
Moving Up Points List...
Leaonna Odom is currently in 18th place on Duke's all-time scoring list with 1,365 points and is two points from matching Haley Peters (1,367) for 17th.
