DURHAM, N.C. – Over the course of the next few weeks, Duke softball is checking in with its six incoming freshmen who had their high school senior seasons cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The next recruit check-in is with
Kelly Torres – a catcher and third baseman from Florida.
What are you most excited for about coming to Duke?
Kelly: "I'm most excited about joining the Duke softball family and start competing on the field with the girls. I look forward to getting to know all my new teammates and also having the opportunity to study at such a great school."
What have you been doing to keep yourself busy during the quarantine?
Kelly: "While I've been in quarantine I have not really picked up new hobbies, but we recently got a puppy named Maeko and she's such a handful so I spend all my time with her."
