Gina Kim and Yu Liu are in the top 10 of the leaderboard.
Kim, a rising junior on the Duke women's golf team, carded a one-under-par, 71, and is tied for 10th overall, after notching three birdies on the day. She opened her round with birdies on No. 1, No. 5 and No. 6 and was three-under par through six holes. Kim, who is from Chapel Hill, N.C., made the turn with a two-under, 34, after a bogey on No. 9. She closed her day with eight pars and a bogey on No. 12 to finish with a 71.
A 2014 All-America at Duke, Liu registered five birdies on her way to carding a four-under-par, 48, and is tied for third. She played her final 13 holes at four-under-par with four birdies.
Hexi Yuan turned in an eight-under-par, 64, and leads the field by three strokes ahead of Jean Reynolds (67). Kim is one of two amateur golfers in the top 10 as Chloe Kovelesky is tied for seventh with a 70. A total of 13 amateurs are in the field along with professionals.
Kim will tee off Thursday in the final round beginning at 9:30 a.m., while Liu will open her day at 9:50 a.m.
