2020 -- Women's Basketball -- Duke formally announces the hiring of
Kara Lawson as the fifth head coach in program history.

2010 -- Athletics -- The Duke Blue Devils were honored as the Capital One Best College Men's Athletic Program at the 2010 ESPY Awards in Los Angeles. The 2010 season saw national championships by both men's basketball and men's lacrosse.
July 15
2013 – Women's Basketball -- Tricia Liston helped lead the 2013 USA Basketball Women's World University Games Team to a gold medal at Basket Hall in Kazan, Russia. USA downed Russia, 90-71, as Liston notched two points and three rebounds.
2007 – Women's Basketball -- In her third straight WNBA All-Star appearance, former Duke standout Alana Beard led her East squad to a 103-99 victory over the West Team at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. Beard had a team-best eight assists, eight points, three rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots in only 16 minutes.
2006 -- Women's Golf -- Amanda Blumenherst and the United States won 17 of 24 final-round points on the final day to defeat Japan 37-23 at the 31st annual Fuji Xerox USA vs. Japan Collegiate Golf Championship at Sun Hills Country Club in Japan. Blumenherst was named female MVP.
July 17
2016 -- Men's Basketball -- Former Duke star Tyus Jones was named the MVP of the 2016 NBA Summer League, averaging 19.4 points on .457 shooting, 6.3 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals in seven games.
2004 -- Women's Golf -- Brittany Lang knocked off former Blue Devil Leigh Anne Hardin, 10 and 9, to win the Women's Trans National Amateur at the Glenmore Country Club in Keswick, Va.
July 19
2019 -- Men's Golf -- Current Duke graduate student Steven DiLisio won the 111th playing of the Massachusetts Amateur Championship, surviving 36 holes of stoke play and 36 holes of match play at The Country Club in suburban Boston.
