DURHAM – Duke is back at Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium on Thursday night for an ACC contest with Louisville.
Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN.

Louisville has won both of the meetings in the all-time series. These two teams last faced off on Oct. 14, 2016, with the Blue Devils dropping a 24-14 decision to the Cardinals in Louisville, Ky. The only other meeting came in 2002 with Duke falling, 40-3, in Durham.
Thursday's ESPN broadcast will feature Matt Barrie, Roddy Jones and Quint Kessenich on the call. The game can also be heard on the Blue Devil Sports Network from LEARFIELD through the Varsity app or goduke.com.

Senior running back Mataeo Durantfinds himself atop the ACC charts in numerous categories. Most notably, he ranks tied for first in rushing attempts (220), second in rushing yards (1,095) and third in both total touchdowns by a running back (9) and all-purpose yards per game (131.70). Durant continues to climb up the Blue Devils' all-time season and career rushing chart. Thanks to his 33 rushing yards against Virginia Tech, Durant edged closer to Steve Jones' single-season program record of 1,236 yards achieved during the 1972 season. He's currently 141 rushing yards away from tying that mark. On Duke's all-time career list, Durant is sixth with 2,416 yards and is 25 away from breaking into the top five.Â
Redshirt junior linebacker Shaka Heyward currently sits seventh in the ACC with 79 tackles. He has two double-digit tackle games this year and has finished as one of Duke's top two tacklers in eight of 10 games this season.
Duke is one of three ACC schools with multiple players with 630-plus receiving yards. Jake Bobo (660) and Jalon Calhoun (630) join Virginia's Dontayvion Wicks (1,004) and Keytaon Thompson (773) as well as Wake Forest's A.T. Perry (918) and Jaquarii Roberson (860).
FACING LOUISVILLE IN NOVEMBER
Thursday's contest will mark the first time the Blue Devils and Cardinals have battled in the month of November. Of the other two meetings, one was in October and the other in September.
BOBO BIG UNDER PRESSURE
Senior wide receiver Jake Bobohas become Duke's top target for extending drives. The North Andover, Mass., native had 32 catches in 2020, with 22 of those going for a first down. Bobo has continued that trend in Duke's 10 games of 2021. Thirty-three of his 62 receptions have earned a first down.
Of his 62 receptions on the year:
** 33 have earned a first down
** Four have gone for nine yards
** 24 have gone for eight-or-less yards
** One went for 11 but missed a first down due to a false start on previous play
Bobo currently leads the Blue Devils with 660 receiving yards on 62 catches. His 59 receptions have him fourth in the ACC, while his receiving yards place him ninth in the league.Â
DUKE READY FOR MOORE
Freshman quarterback Jordan Moore has seen action in nine of Duke's 10 games this season. During the Blue Devils' most recent outing against Virginia Tech, the Sykesville, Md., native rushed 17 times for 113 yards and one score, while completing six-of-12 pass attempts for 63 yards and one touchdown. The rookie set Duke single-game record for rushing yards by a freshman quarterback and his rushing yardage total ranked 13th on Duke's single-game list for quarterbacks and 14th on the school's single-game ledger for freshmen. On the year, Moore has compiled 217 rushing yards on 43 attempts with three scores and has converted on 8-of-17 pass attempts for 95 yards and one touchdown.
CAREER ACCOLADES
Senior Mataeo Durant has rushed for 50+ yards in 19 career games, topped the 100-yard plateau on the ground 10 times and has 22 rushing attempts of 20+ yards, including a career-long 64-yard TD jaunt versus Florida State in 2020. He sits sixth on Duke's career rushing chart with 2,416 yards. Durant currently has 1,095 rushing yards on the year, which places him fourth in program history for a single-season.
ACC LEADERS AMONG TACKLES
Duke is one of seven schools in the ACC with multiple players with 64-plus tackles on the year, joining Georgia Tech (four), Virginia Tech (four), Â N.C. State (two), Pittsburgh (two), Syracuse (two), and Virginia (two). Redshirt junior linebacker Shaka Heywardis seventh in the conference with 79 tackles on the year, while redshirt senior safety Lummie Young IV sits tied for 20th with 64.Â
FORCING PRESSURE
Redshirt sophomore DeWayne Carteris currently tied for third in the nation with 10 others with four forced fumbles on the year. The Blue Devils have now had a player register three-plus caused fumbles in a single season in five of the last 10 years. DeVon Edwards led the group during that stretch with five in 2014.Â
VETERAN LEADERSHIP
Redshirt senior cornerback Leonard Johnson leads the team with 2,851 career snaps. The Hayden, Ala., product has 156 tackles, 10.0 TFL, 2.0 sacks, six INTs, three caused fumbles, two fumble recoveries, two QB pressures, and 16 PBUs to his name. He owns 11 games with six-plus tackles, including a career-high nine stops on two different occasions (at Pittsburgh in 2018 and at Wake Forest in 2021).
