Sean Davis and
Brian White are set to compete in the Audi 2021 Major League Soccer Cup Playoffs, which begin Nov. 20.
Davis leads New York Red Bulls to the postseason for the team's 11th consecutive time, following a tremendous personal campaign in which he started all 34 games, playing every minute of each game for a total of 3,060 minutes. The team captain, Davis became the first homegrown player in Red Bulls history to start 100 or more games.
New York Red Bulls have earned the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference and will travel to Subaru Park in Chester, N.J., for the MLS Cup Playoffs opener at the Philadelphia Union, on Nov. 20, at 1:30 p.m. ET.
On a goal-scoring tear since joining Vancouver Whitecaps FC via a transfer from New York Red Bulls on June 2, White has elevated Vancouver into the playoffs and up to the sixth seed in the Western Conference. Vancouver will travel to Children's Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kan., for a matchup with Sporting Kansas City on Nov. 20 at 5 p.m. ET.
White has 12 goals in 27 appearances with Vancouver following the transfer, for his first double-digit goal season in MLS. White was named Week 29's Player of the Week on Oct. 4, following a hat trick in a win over the San Jose Earthquakes.
The Blue Devils have had 11 players drafted in the MLS Super Draft, Davis signing as a homegrown player and several more reach the league under head coach
John Kerr, who spent several years in MLS as a player.
