DURHAM, N.C. – Following a vote by the conference's 14 head coaches, Duke baseball was picked to finish fourth in the 2021 ACC Coastal Division, as announced by the league office on Thursday.Â

Seven coaches picked Miami to win the Coastal Division, while Virginia and Georgia Tech received five and two first-place votes, respectively. The Hurricanes tallied 89 points, edging out Virginia's 85 points. Georgia Tech was picked to finish third with 71 points. The Blue Devils placed fourth with 59 points, followed by North Carolina (40), Virginia Tech (31) and Pittsburgh (17) to round out the division.
Louisville, picked as the overall champion, led the way in the Atlantic Division with 95 points, followed by NC State (74), Florida State (73), Clemson (48), Wake Forest (45), Boston College (39) and Notre Dame (18). The Cardinals were selected as the division favorites by 11 coaches, while NC State, Florida State and Clemson received one first-place vote each.

Ten ACC teams have been ranked in at least one major poll during the 2021 preseason, and 27 different ACC players have been named to at least one preseason All-America Team. The Blue Devils enter the 2021 season ranked No. 16 in the
Baseball America Preseason Poll.
The Blue Devils open the 2020 season Feb. 19-21, traveling to Coastal Carolina for a three-game series.
