DURHAM, N.C. – After a break in action for two weeks, the 11th-ranked Duke women's tennis team will return to the court Sunday, Feb. 14 as the Blue Devils welcome Appalachian State at 2 p.m., in the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center in Durham, N.C.
Duke (3-1) and Appalachian State will meet for the first time in school history. The Blue Devils feature a 2-0 record all-time against teams from the Sun Belt Conference as Duke owns a 2-0 mark versus South Alabama.
ASU holds a record of 1-1 on the season, which includes a season-opening loss to No. 12 NC State (0-7) and a 6-1 victory over Western Carolina Saturday afternoon.
The Blue Devils currently feature a 48-match home winning streak at Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center and Ambler Tennis Stadium.
Duke features six ranked singles players and one doubles teams on the national list. No. 8

Karolina Berankova are 3-3 this spring, while No. 28
Georgia Drummy and No. 29
Chloe Beck are both 5-2. No. 44

Meible Chi have played to a 6-2 overall ledger.
In doubles action, Beck and Berankova headline the Blue Devils with a 7-1 overall record, including a six-match win streak.
Chen, a native of Cerritos, Calif., has collected a 99-26 overall singles mark in her Duke career. She is one win shy of becoming the 26th Blue Devil to reach the 100-win plateau.
Due to the impact of COVID-19, Duke University will begin its spring sport program seasons without spectators at home events. Contests played on Duke's campus will include essential game management personnel and broadcast media. Traditional parking lots used by fans on game day will be closed.
Duke will close the non-conference portion of the schedule Wednesday, Feb. 17 as the Blue Devils host VCU at 2 p.m.
