CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Select Duke swimmers competed in the first UNC Last Chance meet on Sunday at Koury Natatorium in Chapel Hill, N.C.
The Blue Devils swam seven career-best times throughout the single-day meet.
Junior
Shae Nicolaisen recorded career-best times in the 100 and 200 freestyle. She touched in 52.12 and 1:50.77 in the events, respectively.
In the 200 butterfly, two Blue Devils swam times that met the NCAA Division I 'B' Standard. Freshman
Catherine Purnell clocked a career-best 1:56.75 to move to third all-time at Duke. Junior
Cabell Whitlow swam a season-best time of 1:56.93 to meet the standard.

Shayna Hollander hit a career-best mark of 53.01 in the 100 backstroke that also met the NCAA Division I 'B' Standard. Sophomore
Alex Bumpas also registered a career-best time in the 50 freestyle, touching in 23.66.
Two Duke men also recorded career-best times. Sophomore
Kevin Repice swam a 51.27 in the 100 backstroke to top his best time during his Duke career.
Adam Vlasic also secured a career-best time, touching in 49.57 in the 100 butterfly.
Duke swimming & diving returns to action on Sunday, March 7 for the second UNC Last Chance Meet at Koury Natatorium in Chapel Hill, N.C.
