GREENSBORO, N.C. — Junior
Maddi Pullinger was named an honorable mention All-American in one-meter diving during the second day of the 2021 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships on Thursday at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C.

Pullinger, a native of Sydney, Australia, earned All-America honors for the first time in her career after placing 15th in the one-meter event with a score of 275.25.

Pullinger was no newcomer to the event on the national stage, securing the honor this season after besting her 23rd place season in 2019.

Two other Blue Devils competed at the Championships on Wednesday in addition to Pullinger. Freshman
Sarah Foley competed in her first event at the NCAA Championships as she placed 38th in the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:58.64. Junior
Shayna Hollander placed 50th overall in the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.81. Her appearance was her first in the 50 freestyle at the NCAA meet.Â

Duke continues with day three of the NCAA Championships on Friday as four Blue Devils are set to compete - Foley in the 100 breaststroke, sophomore
Emma Shuppert and Hollander in the 100 backstroke and freshman
Catherine Purnell in the 400 individual medley.
