DURHAM, N.C. – Three Blue Devils represented the Duke field hockey team on the NFHCA Division I Scholars of Distinction list as freshmen
Alayna Burns and
Morgan Fletcher and junior
Leah Crouse received the honors.
The Scholars of Distinction program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2020-21 academic year. More than 250 student-athletes were honored this year.
The last time Duke had three student-athletes named to the list was in 2015, while 15 were selected to the National Academic Squad. The Blue Devils had a program-record 19 student-athletes earn spots on the 2020 NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad which was released on March 18.
The NFHCA will announce the Division I National Academic Team Awards on March 29 and the NFHCA Division I National Scholar-Athlete will be announced on June 15.
